Under 45 CEOs Summit 2022 - Inaugural business leadership event

Full Program Description

The 2022 Under 45 CEOs Business & Leadership Summit, organized by UDUF Africa, delivered a focused leadership and enterprise development gathering for young business owners, founders, and executives under the age of 45. The summit was structured to build a generation of entrepreneurs who run businesses anchored on purpose, value creation, and long-term sustainability rather than short-term profit chasing.

The program brought together cross-sector leaders — industrialists, educators, financial institution representatives, business mentors, and professional bodies — to provide practical direction and mindset formation for emerging CEOs. The core teaching throughout the summit emphasized that profitable businesses grow from solving real problems consistently and building trust in the marketplace.

The day's sessions combined keynote teaching, founder experience talks, expert panels, institutional guidance briefings, participant networking, and recognition segments.

Founder's Welcome Charge

The summit opened with a welcome address from Dr. Smart Chinedu Ezuma, Founder of UDUF Africa, who explained the intent behind the Under 45 CEOs platform. He stated that the initiative exists to shape business leaders who build enterprises that outlive them and contribute solutions to generational challenges.

He stressed that profit should be treated as the outcome of delivering meaningful value, not the primary mission of enterprise. Participants were encouraged to define their business purpose clearly and align operations around solving real needs in their industries.

Keynote Address

Topic: Become a Purpose-Driven Business Leader
Keynote Speaker: Mr. Val Chineto Ozigbo — Former President of Transcorp and former Anambra governorship candidate.

The keynote session focused on leadership character and entrepreneurial mindset. The address highlighted emotional intelligence as a decisive leadership advantage and positioned personal character as a growth asset in business.

Participants were urged to develop leadership qualities that attract people and partnerships, including:

  • Integrity in conduct
  • Patience in growth
  • Humility in leadership
  • Consistency in execution
  • Passion for impact

The keynote reinforced that sustainable success comes from disciplined character combined with persistent effort.

Industry Experience Session

A major program highlight came from Bishop Dr. E.C. Obiorah, Presiding Bishop of Life of Faith Gospel Assembly and Chairman of Emos Best Industries Ltd, who delivered a practical enterprise journey session drawn from decades of business experience.

He walked participants through his entrepreneurial path beginning in the late 1970s, describing transitions across multiple industries — from building materials to foam production and later cosmetics manufacturing. He explained the time, discipline, and endurance required to build industrial-scale operations and emphasized patience and steady reinvestment as critical success factors.

His message centered on long-term enterprise building rather than fast returns.
